BAR VLAHA

WHY IT’S TOPS: For showing just how much more there is to Greek food than what Boston already knows.

THE PROOF: Between vis- its, we can’t stop craving the manitaria, fried oyster mushrooms served with a parsley spread. Crayfish with orzo, braised beef cheeks, and freshwater shrimp show off the breadth of regional Vlach cooking. The cocktails skew decidedly modern, while the open kitchen puts the wood-fired cooking on display.
